KillSquare was set up as a alternative for otherkin and energetic resources, and where both kin and non-kin can read through posted information, or post it themselves and learn a lot about anything related to energetics and otherkin. It also deals with a lot of other subjects within stuff such as spirituality.

I am really proud that the forum is finally completed and I hope that people understand that I thus want to share the forum with more likeminded people so that the forum can grow bigger with information, and also appeal to a larger audience.

Come check it out if you can!

Oh, they are good. All is All.

~The Breath of *

One can only write on beauty what one has known. The more beauty one has seen, the more it is reflected in what that one writes. There is no superiority of what one writes over another. The beauty each one writes is the totality of beauty that each one knows. What is important is that beauty is seen and appreciated. What would existence be without it? As it is said, it is in the eyes of the beholder. It is the gift that one gives oneself. Not a day goes by that one does not seek and look for it for then the breather is aware of breathing. The breather knows that he/she holds value in simply being able to know beauty, and with each breath, beauty holds the truth of what cannot be put in words. How does one adequately describe a soft breeze on a warm day? The Knowing is the beauty itself: the breath of *

We are spiritual beings having a human experience.

In the beginning, we don't see that so we are inside looking out.

When we see the first statement, we are suddenly looking from the outside in.

First we recognize that we are not the body. That is a big one in itself.

But, when we realize that we are not the mind either..oh, my goodness.

OH...MY GOODNESS!

(And then, it STILL isn't over.)

Perhaps none of us has the total answer. We are here, are we not? Some of your answer, fits into my puzzle and some of my answer connects a piece in your puzzle...
and perhaps we are here TOGETHER for form the whole truth.... from our individual perspectives. Maybe......that's the whole intention...that we all get together to solve our individual problems/challenges/questions/confusion....

[Hey! What's the big deal of bowing to another person? I sometimes bow to my dog.]

and that doesn't lower your status any way .... you still are what you are or were. I also do it successfully ... and if we fail to do so, where is the sense of non-duality ? .... ego or the path of knowledge .... we can choose only one of the two.

Yiming, do you think your Ph.D. degree or whatever "higher" pedestal you think you are on, would have been affected adversely, by bowing to the monk ? Socially, you gain height in the eyes of the people around you, by being humble.

"Work with others' views to let them discover the flaws and short-comings themselves" is an arrogant attitude of a Buddhist monk or an Abbot even. Such an attitude sets you up as an intermediary between the lay people and the ultimate truth and it pisses me off.

Once upon a time, I was invited to a Krishnamurti discussion but didn't know that a Tibetan rimpoche would be the guest of honor. He was perched on a sofa in full lotus position dressed in that peculiar red orchre robe; and as people came to the discussion, they inevitably made obesiance to the Most Holy with a bow and namaste before sitting down on the floor around him. I felt an inexplicably strong compulsion to do the same but resisted that powerful urge. He looked up at me with a benign smile and I could feel my heart pounding mightily. Goddamit. I was actually gripped with fear on account of my willful refusal to be compliant. Talk about conditioning! I refused to bow and perched myself cross-legged on the other sofa facing him because I couldn't twist my legs to sit like he did. He was the Rimpoche, but I had a Ph.D from Cornell and reckoned that made us even. The rest of the guys in the forum thought otherwise and threw me out.

Instead of "Accept others' views without discernment or dissent regardless of flaws" I would say it is more a case of "Work with others' views to let them discover the flaws and short-comings themselves".

We need to keep in mind that
a) it may be impossible to arrive at an universal flawless system.
b) flaws in themselves may not necessarily be bad.
c) flaws may be deliberate in order to challenge you, not to eliminate but to overcome
