It's a gestalt of consciousness (of the same consciousness that forms the soul of dog, lamp, stone, etc.) or God/All that is...<br /> Soul includes mind...memory...awareness, thinking, reasoning, logic, ideas, thoughts, and then (all belonging to individual soul) and then to help improve the plot (also because it is part of Creator...) has universal thoughts running through it as well. It includes energy to run the body, animate flesh... send sparks through the brain and through the heart. Soul is not brain...only uses brain. Brain is physical and subject to weaknesses which soul does not have. Brain can get drunk, stoned, stupid, immersed in any number of drugs, alzheimers etc. Mind does not.
