Myanmar's military regime is refusing aid, afraid to allow American aid workers into the country, thinking they may influence the Country towards Democracy...and would rather let their people starve to death, then to have the possibility of them being educated concerning freedom...

hundreds of other places all over the world, including Irag...where we've invaded, taken over, tried to make the whole world of mini US's, and you wonder why a little place wouldn't want us to arrive????????????? No big surprise there. The world does not like us very much at all.

more tornados across the states...Virgina was hit hard, also Alabama, also storms and damage across NC,Tennessee, Missouri, and Mississippi...more expected...so far i am ok, and no one that i know of has been injured or had property damage close to me, but there is plenty of damage that has occurred...

Starion, i do understand that; i am just concerned that politics will prevent actual human beings from getting the food and water, and medical care that they need...i don't think anyone in America wants to watch while the poor of this Country starve to death...regardless of the politics...however; there is an update, some resources and aid workers have been allowed access...

death toll in China 15,000, and still rising...many students were trapped and killed beneath the rubble of their schools, although some have been rescued...

rescuers are not defining this perceived nightmare as a recovery of the dead vs. survivors yet, but it appears to be turning into such...

may the compassion of our hearts rise and reach the suffering of those that will survive, to live on, another day...may the strength of their humaness, survive to rebuild their cities, and console them through the suffering they face now and in the days to come...i also offer this to Myanmar, India, Lebonon, Italy, and to those states within my own Country, facing the destruction of recent tornados and storms...fire, flooding and hail...and anyone, anywhere, that is suffering...

we think we have problems here in America, and we do, but they are nothing in comparison to what is being faced around the world...

One can not save anyone. There is simply no purpose to it either. This dream, perfect as said before, is only that-an illusion that hides the truth of what is looking from behind the eyes-nothing. Death is an illusion as well. Something Is the very moment something is said to be not. The illusion IS death though with all its thoughts that bind and own. Earthquake 'bad'-'uplifting thought'-good. Grace-wrong-Star right. Look at the pages of what you think you are in every judgement. If one is to 'lead' others-it is nonsense in the very moment that one thinks there is 'one' to do it. it is like arguing with yourself-All is inside-All is one but not someone.

Looking for rainbows makes the now not complete.

    Om Shanti~

why post this? is this too, not nonsense, according to ASI? what is it that you are talking about, and who is it that is posting, and to whom is it posted? are you not the pot calling the skillet black?

maybe you should do this...in posting your nonsense, you have done the very thing of which you accuse...you are trying to say what is truth, while saying there is no truth, no one to say it, and no one to hear it...you contradict yourself...yet again...

truth is, there is no way to prove that you do not exist, or that you in fact do exist...

    a simplified version:

what is the purpose of 'YOUR' post, given your 'beliefs' that neither you, your post, nor anyone to read it, really exists?

if One, as you put it, cannot save anyone, then why make that illusional claim?

if there is 'no' purpose, then what pray tell is the purpose of your post? why post anything?

if everything is illusion, as you claim, then how is it that your illusional 'Perfect Dream' is somehow, the only 'thing' real? that's an oxymoron...iow, your perfect dream description is just as illusional as the illusional One describing it...according to you, nonexistent...how can an illusion claim to be an illusion...lol

the 'dream' sees and speaks? how can an illusion, hide anything? how can nothing, call death an illusion?

how does nothing become something, the moment it is said to be not, if there is nothing to become anything, and no one to speak it into it's something, from it's nothingness...if all of it is illusion anyways?

the illusional you speaks illusional nonsense...according to the you that does not exist...why?...lol

that about covers this dellusional subject...thanx for the illusional challenge...lol

"Memorial Day also marked rise of U.S. troops casualty in Iraq, after two soldiers were killed and four wounded in two separate roadside bombings in the country earlier on Monday, according to the military.

The latest deaths raised to 4,082 the number of U.S. troops killed in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion."

deaths due to our American addiction to oil...these men and woman, and countless other innocents, died, not because of a war on terror...that is still raging in Iran...but because of America's need for oil...everytime you fill your gas tank, think of this...

WHITE HOUSE (AP) - President Bush pays tribute today to a soldier who sacrificed himself to save his comrades in Iraq.

In December 2006, Army Pfc. Ross McGinnis unit was patrolling Baghdad when an insurgent lobbed a grenade into his Humvee. Shouting a warning to four others inside, McGinnis jumped down onto the grenade and took the full force of the blast, which killed him instantly.

McGinnis was 19 and from Pennsylvania.

Today's Medal of Honor ceremony will be the fourth time Bush cited heroism in Iraq in conferring America's highest award for gallantry.

To hate war but to admire such a feat, as this McGinnis man accompliched, sacrificing himself - is that possible?

I'd say it is. Hats off for such heroes.

I'd agree, Rediviva. It is possible to be a hero, even if one hates war in general, or even if one disagrees with the politics behind the war one finds oneself fighting. Acts of heroism have to do with selflessness and courage in a dangerous situation. As you said, hats off to PFC McGinnis!
