The magic of birth goes well beyond words. As the door opens the mysteries of the universe stare you in the face and remind you of the magic and gift that is life. It is the same door that opens when one dies. So why is the peace and magic that bookends our life lost?
When Nyha was born I had never felt what I have explained above before and was so greatful to be offered this insight at the time. Being aware of what was to come with the birth of Marley I was like a young child waiting for Christmas day to roll around. I was not dissapointed.
Without taking anything away from Nyha's birth my awareness during this birth was even more present and it was as the door opened that tears began to fill my eyes. Before Marley's head had appeared it was obvious that he was just about to enter this world.
"Here he comes baby"
With that Mel pushed and we got the first look of Marley John. Not long after he was fully born with Mel exclaiming at the end of the birth ,
"Hooley Dooley!"
Hooley Dooley is right!!
While on Mel I must say that I am so proud of her amazing efforts in giving birth to a 9 pound one, 58cm boy without tearing and in no need of a stitch or any drugs. I have been joking since that I am going to get her a shirt made up that says born to breed.
Anyways, I offer this story to all to remind you of the beauty that is present in every moment of our lives. Even if we are not aware of it.
Give Thanks!
