We are conditioned to follow the leader, to be sheep.

    Any thoughts?

I feel most people are in need to be guided in a spiritual sense, to be inspired by another person not just to do the right thing but given the opportunity to seek there own inspiration within,

A true leader of man is one who humbly awe-inspires others naturally, making them look deep into there own hearts.......... we are conditioned to follow our heart naturally but we always fall from grace when we follow another's dreams

    ap,

I have realized (forever it seems) that there is much need for a shepherd. Often when i reach out for wifee she asks, "Have i once again become your security blanket?" I have wondered if she realizes that she does bring me closer to the shepherd. For her love for me is more than a suttle reminder of the love i share with the Lord.

I think leaders are needed. Just not the type we have.

To many people follow blindly, led to the slaughterhouse all the way chewing the cud.

I prefer the Sheperd of the New Testament who places the welfare of his sheep above himself.

Your thinking!!! Be the leader you want...be all you can be...
you don't have to get up on a soapbox, just be you.
Abs: You are a person who thinks, who considers, who has
a sensitivity and a kindness and a very perceptive nature.
These are advanced virtues that few men dare show...do you know
what bravery there is in that??? There is a sweetness and
gentleness about you, yet a fear of greater terrible stuff,
but that comes from love for you and your family. If you
know that everything you feel, love, care about comes from love
and the source of that love, you also know your anger comes from
love. Everything does come from love..

    Starrs,

Thank you for your kind words. :o)

    I stumbled across this a couple of days ago from the Gospel of Peace;

"It is by love, that the Heavenly Father and the Earthly Mother and the Son of Man become one. For the spirit of the Son of Man was created from the spirit of the Heaven Father, and his body from the body of the Earthly Mother. Become, therefore, perfect as the spirit of your Heavenly Father and the body of your Earthly Mother are perfect. And so love your Heavenly Father, as he loves your spirit. And so love your Earthly Mother, as she loves your body. And so love your true brothers, as your Heavenly Father and your Earthly Mother love them. And then your Heavenly Father shall give you his holy spirit, and your Earthly Mother shall give you her holy body. And then shall the Sons of Men like true brothers give love one to another, the love which they received from their Heavenly Father and from their Earthly Mother; and they shall all become comforters one of another. And then shall disappear from the earth all evil and all sorrow, and there shall be love and joy upon earth. And th en shall the earth be like the heavens, and the kingdom of God shall come. And then shall come the Son of Man in all his glory, to inherit the kingdom of God. And then shall the Sons of Men divide their divine inheritance, the kingdom of God. For the Sons of Men live in the Heavenly Father and in the Earthly Mother, and the Heavenly Father and the Earthly Mother live in them. And then with the kingdom of God shall come the end of the times. For the Heavenly Father's love gives to all life everlasting in the kingdom of God. For love is eternal. Love is stronger than death.
"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal. Though I tell what is to come, and know all secrets, and all wisdom; and though I have faith strong as the storm which lifts mountains from their seat, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and give all my fire that I have received from my Father, but have not love, I am in no wise profited. Love is patient, love is kind. Love is not envious, works not evil, knows not pride; is not rude, neither selfish; is slow to anger, imagines no mischief; rejoices not in injustice, but delights in justice. Love defends all, love believes all, love hopes all, love bears all; never exhausts itself; but as for tongues they shall cease, and, as for knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we have truth in part, and error in part, but when the fullness of perfection is come, that which is in part shall be blotted out. When a man was a child he spoke as a child, understood as a child, thought as a child; but when he became a man he put away childish things. For now we see through a glass and through dark sayings. Now we know in part, but when we are come before the face of God, we shall not know in part, but even as we are taught by him. And now remain these three: faith and hope and love; but the greatest of these is love"

I just read some of the Gospel of Peace. I've never come across it in all my years of searching. It is a wonderful document.

I see some parallels with other scriptures, namely Paul's letter to the Corinthians.

    7. O SON OF LOVE!

Thou art but one step away from the glorious heights above and from the celestial tree of love. Take thou one pace and with the next advance into the immortal realm and enter the pavilion of eternity. Give ear then to that which hath been revealed by the pen of glory.

Sincerely you ask! Sincerely you get!

It's like, in part, what seeker quoted from the Gospel of peace.

"For we have truth in part, and error in part, but when the fullness of perfection is come, that which is in part shall be blotted out."

The truth in part, is that seldom do i offer anything that could be construed as favoritism or one sided. For i am careful (i try) to be consistent to all that is shared in me. The error in part, is that the dialog is seldom followed up to the point of that sincerity that would reveal this.

some... have pondered this claim and see it quite differently. lol

Here are quotes from some of my replies that this one shared.

Question? Even though out of context, is there a consistency to them? If so, let me say there is no consistency in man (ray not withstanding). So where does that consistency come from?

Every 4/5 reply to other posts that this one jumped in on.

For instance, should one come across in their youth a most beautiful young women, one whom has not as of yet even realized her beauty. A righteousness approach would be to not take advantage of this fact, but in a most honest and sincere way reveal this to her... in time offering that to be one with such a beauty, the lover would face many challenges as would she. A level of maturity is required. One that would have to think less of themselves then the other.

    Reply to another...
For some time i have realized that in each scripture read, Upanishad,Torah, gita,Koran, or Christian bible. One does not ever step on the other. In fact, they are very much synchronized in their teachings. All one needs to consider is that the permanence... or for others the divine, or divine-consciousness has always been capable of reaching any aspect of these teachings to anyone who sought them out.

    Reply to another...
Is this not the crux that separates what each of us are saying. In agreement, do we not offer that awareness known to us is temporal or borrowed. Each being guided by the countenance... that each have accepted. Accepted from whom? Would we not agree from the spirit of God or not?
Yes! Such things can be seen in others. You have offered that. What i, we hold to... is much and the same, when accepting the above.

    Reply to another...
Regarding this post and the other, to DO NO HARM would carry the insight regarding any/all action. Perfecting this, would be to first see inside the heart of another. You will find no (MAN) more resistant to this, than grim. (WOMAN) not withstanding are more suitable to this, star comes to mind and she is very clever regarding this. Now, can i say this without doing harm? Don't know!

    Thoughts anyone!

    ap,

Since these consistent measures are part of the whole (at least i believe this). It is rare that they take on a personal side. In fact i tend to challenge any who claim to be a friend. To say so, as freely as some do, is like the part that is in error... in time this will be blotted out.

Much better for them to say and to show their love for the Lord of Salvation... as opposed to clutching on to anyone of us. I am sure others here feel as much.

Quit clutching onto me now! Quote from June Carter in the Johnny Cash movie.

    gates,

Thanks for your sincerity and honesty.

Sure I think that to place ones faith in the Creator as the doer of All is essential in acting in a completely compassionate and Loving way. After all if All is seen as Creation then I, in part, am an aspect of that creation. In a sense to be in Truth one would be free of that which is in error so that efforts towards Truth would be consistent with All creation, as opposed to what is in part. Of course what is in part is whole in and of itself, except for perhaps the boundaries that invite error.

However I do feel that one can not deny the need for a deep level of friendship that implies a knowing, an acknowledgement, of the brotherhood & sisterhood of all humanity.

    Here is something the Dalia Lama said that I see as resonating with what has been expressed;

"As human beings, we are all the same. So there is no need to build some kind of artificial barrier between us. At least my own experience is that if you have this kind of attitude, there is no barrier. Whatever I feel, I can express; I can call you 'my old friend'. There is nothing to hide, and no need to say things in a way that is not straightforward. So this gives me a kind of space in my mind, with the result that I do not have to be suspicious of others all the time. And this really gives me inner satisfaction, and inner peace. So I call this feeling a 'genuine realization of the oneness of the whole of humanity'. We are all members of one human family. I think that this understanding is very important, especially now that the world is becoming smaller and smaller. In ancient times, even in a small village, people were able to exist more or less independently. There was not so much need for others' co-operation. These days, the economic structure has completely changed, so that modern economies, relying on industry, are totally different. We are heavily dependent on one another, and also as a result of mass communication, the barriers of the past are greatly reduced. Today, because of the complexity of interdependence, every crisis on this planet is essentially related with every other, like a chain reaction. Consequently it is worthwhile taking every crisis as a global one. Here barriers such as 'this nation' or 'that nation', 'this continent', or 'that continent' are simply obstacles. Therefore today, for the future of the human race, it is more important than ever before that we develop a genuine sense of brotherhood and sisterhood. I usually call this a sense of 'universal responsibility'."

    ap,

Likewise in that universal responsibility it is reflective on each to accept those who visit here... for one to discern and treat like any other... as any other who has corresponded many times. Those that find some of my post unmoving from certain standpoints need only to consider further, Why is that? Starss seems to think it would drive her crazy. Yet, wifee knows my positions are weighed mostly unbiased and such... considering both sides and much more. All action/non-action having consequence is daunting for most. One must be consistent with the bigger picture to keep getting snarled in any one matter.

I was surprised you suddenly approached this. Works good with the topic though.

    gates,

From my experience "playing" on the internet is often wrought with misinterpretation of inflection and motive.

And although I agree that it is important that one should consider further "Why is that?" I feel that the accuracy in which Creation delivers its lessons deems that should many stand against what I am saying then I too must ask "why is that?" purely from my perspective. I feel that this is important as it allows for one to learn new ways to express so that one may eventually get to a point of universal acceptance through communicating in such an obviously open manner.

Perhaps another way to ask the question is, why is God/Awareness presenting I this?

My partner thinks that I am crazy for spending time on forums as her opinion is that they are full of nutcases. And being a bit nutty myself she may have a point. lol

Just to bring it back to topic which is very much in line with the why is that line of question one may ask why am I being lead to this exchange?

FROM THE GREATEST TUG OF WAR POST

    Mary wrote,

Anyway, I think the tug of war you speak of is common ? The more one looks within themselves, the more they're aware of this struggle between the temporary and the eternal?

Mary as you say, at certain levels, the tug of war... is common agreed. Yet, there is something defined, that when the look within has diminished, whereby the self has no resting place, the impulse from what is known and unknown collapses yet again. One then gets to choose between two outer worlds. Living in one while enlightened by the other. Many seek a resting place between the two, hence the tug of war.

    Mary,

The soul is what defines each of us. Just as the Heavenly Bodies, Lord's, and Saints are defined and /or separated by their own soul; it is the spirit that offers to unite each. One spirit born to the "All" in the divine, one that is not.

The look into American politics is as above. The spirit of America and most of this world has been divided. When one calls out and offers to bring together, as in the message of Obama, it is consistent to the divine spirit in the "All". It will bring out the extreme in the spirit that is not.

Whether, it is wise or not to choose to stand back from the likes of this one, makes me truly smile inside. i consider it a privilege to be considered so. i have felt your sentiment as with others here on the COT, and i enjoy your posts.

    Blessings!

    ap,

This above relates to what you were asking. This one does truly feel that my position that is sustained, where it remains as an enigma of sorts, defines in part the limitless expanse that is the all knowing. Whereby each of us have only glimpses into these fathomless insights. This one all the more/less! lol

Let me add, there is no position in this that is rigid, although it might appear so from the outside. Even as (i try) to remain consistent to certain aspects of the blameless truth, there is enough wholeness or acceptance to prevent any sort of cult nature. In me, i cannot define one over the other, member vses non-member, friend vses stranger, my way vses the highway. One never being the leader, only one who serves. Now let me add further, the more one serves the more one "masters". The true master that stands before any other... is the same that bows toward all that IS (and whom serves).

During the sigma experiment, my impulse was to address this very nature of master/server. The truth "known" to any master is that he serves... first non-action, then action, back to non-action treating both aspects equally. Much of this has been learned by stepping into that arena and seeking such insight.

Truth is, this one is very much a simple person. Intellect not being my strong point. I stand all the more a fool... before this creation. Yet, before this majesty of creation... "I am" a prince.

    Thoughts!

Gates: you would not drive me crazy... I am too sane for that experience again.'
One trip into that mental thought pattern was enough to let go of that insanity!
LOL. As you say, once the fundamental universe is revealed, then insanity no longer
has venue...but there is a division of thinking that takes place.
You recognize the continuity of all things, but your belief system does divide
into the common everyday...polite..phase, and the shared information with those
who understand phase. For instance here I feel safe enough to state my true feelings
as they are passing; out in the community, amongst many belief systems, I remain
subdued. My job as a human being is not to elevate the differences so much as
unite those things we have in common.
Let me state that it is difficult. I have a close relative who believes totally
opposite me...and conversation is restrained with a tight leash. It is like my
seeing the reflection of how I might be had I remained with my childhood beliefs
magnified. Not a pretty picture. We both believe in God...her belief has serious
reprisals for swearing, insulting God, denying God, not reading a specific book
and believing ONLY THAT belief system and not allowing for any other EVER, and
not seeing the totality over that belief system. She would not read any books
which could teach her to get in touch with God by any other method than through
her book so her belief system closes that door. There is No forgiveness except
    through specific methods.
Understand that she was brought up with an open mind, and knowing she had the connection to the universe and switched back later.

I have found, in my life, that some people want others to do that thinking for them,
while they invest their time and attention on other things they feel are far more
important. Politics can be so conflicted, complicated, and confusing. What seemed
right slowly skews oddly as time passes. The same goes for religious beliefs. It is
not until confronted with the results of a belief that someone says "Wait a darned
minute! That isn't right!" and then rethink occurs.
